Charlean Makek Okunola Owoo (Worldwide President (Feb 2014-Feb 2018) is a chartered chemist and member of The Governing Council of the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON) and Chemical Society of Nigeria. He graduated from St Charles Grammar School Osogbo in 1976. He proceeded to Bayero University in kano where he obtained a BSc in Chemistry in 1983. He joined Berger Paints Nig PLC in 1991 as a development Chemist. This paid off as he moved to industrial sales and was sent on various Courses in the UK on Chemical Pre-treatment Systems. This became a big leap to his hidden Entrepreneurial skills and as he opened himself up to serve the company in very sensitive aspect of the business lifelines. He became the Technical Sales Manager (Pre-treatment Chemicals) servicing the vehicle assembly plants and industrial formations all over the Country on Pre-treatment Systems.
Mr. Owoo's multifarious experiences led to the birth of Mabolc International Ltd in 1996, to take care of concentrated service delivery for the various organizations while improving on his primary assignment in the sales of chemicals. In 1998, Mr. Owoo was appointed a Divisional Manager, Berger paints and he headed the various divisions of the Company until November 2002 when he bowed out to face Mabolc International Ltd fully on Pre-treatment Systems, Corrosion treatment and Paints Manufacturing.
Charlean Majek is the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mabolic International Limited (www.mabolc.com) – a paint and allied coating manufacturing company. He is happily married to a wonderful wife and blessed with children. He devotes substantial part of his daily life to the service of humanity and progress of St Charles Old boys affairs.
